As part of the on-going stakeholders’ engagement programme, the Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) would like to invite members of the Hong Kong Institute of Planners (HKIP) to a half-day visit to the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) on 29 March 2014 (Saturday). The visit aims to provide members an update on the latest growth and development at HKIA (including the progress of developing HKIA into the Three-Runway System, the midfield expansion, as well as the green initiatives at HKIA) and to show members the major operation facilities in HKIA. During the visit, members will be able to see the airport facilities which are not open to the passengers, as well as sites for current expansion project and future plan.
The tentative programme of the visit is as follows:

09:00 Assemble at Admiralty Centre (near McDonald) 金鐘海富中心（近麥當勞）and take AAHK coach to HKIA Tower
10:00 Arrive at HKIA Tower
Presentation and experience sharing at multi-function room of HKIA Tower
Tour of Integrated Airport Centre (Real time monitoring of airport operations & airport contingency management)
Tour of Baggage Handling System
· Fixed ground power & pre-conditioned air system
· EV charging station
· Midfield Development
12:45 Depart by AAHK coach
13:45 Dismiss at Admiralty Centre
(Non-members are also welcomed, but priority will be given to HKIP members in case of oversubscription.)
Free of Charge
(Transportation to the HKIA Tower from Admiralty will be provided by AAHK.)

Point to note
Please bring along your HKID card for checking on the event date. Also, security checking will be conducted at Gatehouse into the Airport Restricted Area in which the visitor will have to go through metal detectors and your bags will be screened. Please do not bring scissors or sharp objects.
