Focus Group Meeting: Stage 2 Community Engagement of the Planning and Engineering Study on Future Land Use at the Ex-Lamma Quarry Area at Sok Kwu Wan - Feasibility Study

  • City Gallery Meeting Room, 3/F, City Gallery, 3 Edinburgh Place, Central (map)

The Planning Department and the Civil Engineering and Development Department jointly commissioned the subject study in January 2012.  The Study aims to examine the future land uses and explore the development potential of the Ex-Lama Quarry Area (Study Site).  The Stage 1 Community Engagement between December 2012 and February 2013 was conducted to seek public comments on initial land use options of the Study Site.  Taking into account the public comments collected in Stage 1 Community Engagement and technical assessments conducted, a preferred land use option based on the ‘Tourism and Housing’ theme has been devised to form the basis for formulation of the draft Recommended Outline Development Plan (RODP) for the Study Site.

In order to solicit public views on the draft RODP, a two-month Stage 2 Community Engagement has been launched on 14 March 2014.   To have a more in-depth discussion on the draft RODP, including the environmental aspect, a focus group meeting with green groups, local concern groups, NGOs and professional institutes will be held on 23 April 2014.  Details of the meeting are as follows:

Date:  23 April 2014 (Wednesday)

Time:  6:30-8:30PM
