The External Affairs Committee (EAC) has received an invitation recently from AIESEC, an International University Student Organization.
The Student Organization will hold a Youth Summit 2014 on June 5-8 with a theme of "Sustainability", aiming at promoting Leadership and the awareness of Sustainable Development among youth, targeting 300 University and High School Students. The organizing committee has invited HKIP Members as Guest Facilitators for "The Youth Voice Forum".
About the Youth Summit
The Youth Summit has 4 main aspects under the theme "Sustainability", namely Education, Environmental, Social and Economic Sustainability. Throughout the 4 days Forum, delegates will go through seminars and workshops related to the 4 aspects. Speakers including Mr. Ngai Wah Sing, Founder & CEO of SVHK, Mr. Lam Fan-keung, Former Non-Official Member of Executive Council, Ir Conrad Wong, Chairman of HKGBC and Mr. Raymond Lee, President of HKIP are also invited to deliver speech on different aspects of sustainability to the delegates.
The delegates will be separated into small groups and are required to formulate development proposals or policy recommendations and present their ideas on the 8 June 2014.
Invitation to be Guest Facilitators in the "The Youth Voice Forum"
The organizing committee has invited us as professional planners to attend their presentation section, "The Youth Voice Forum" and share our views from town planning perspective. The presentations will be conducted within the small groups and Guest Facilitators would be invited to provide comments and insights on their proposals.
