Organised by the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA) Biennale Foundation and co-organised by HKIP and other sister institutes/associations, the 2019 Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture (Hong Kong) (UABB) is tentatively scheduled for December 2019 till February 2020. The tentative theme for the Hong Kong side is ‘‘City Innovation 城市創新’’, which echoes to that of our Shenzhen counterparts, “城市空間 + 科技創新”.
Following planners’ active participation in 2017 UABB to co-curate part of the exhibition under the theme "City Smarts: Density 2.0" (城市執生: 留得青山在的傳奇), we would sincerely encourage more members to take part in this exciting, meaningful event by showcasing their talent and creativity as UABB exhibitors. To this end, the External Affairs Committee (EAC) would arrange a Briefing and Experience Sharing Session for members who are interested in joining the 2019 UABB as exhibitors.
In the session, we will invite Mr. Jeffrey WONG (Steering Committee member of 2019 UABB and Co-curator of 2017 UABB) and Ms. Kate KWOK (Exhibitor of 2011 and 2015 UABB) to share their experiences in organising the exhibitions and brief on the arrangements of 2019 UABB. The floor will then be opened for discussion on possible exhibition ideas and how to channel ideas into exhibition proposals.
