Smart City Series: Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR)

All visualization techniques we used in the past -- sketches, scaled models, 3D renderings, etc. are substitutions for the built reality. They are tools that aid planners and designers to communicate to stakeholders what the future holds. AR/VR is the next substitution in line. In this issue, let’s take a look at the roles that AR/VR play in smart city development and public engagement. May the glimpse of the latest AR/VR technologies give you insights on the planning/design work at hand!
