Sustainable neighborhoods are places that are resilient, safe, and healthy where people want to live now, and in the future. In hindsight of the urban renewal experience of the Kowloon Walled City in Hong Kong, the needs of informal communities and social equity may require careful consideration and complicated planning solutions during the urban regeneration process.
