Accreditation Board

Terms of Reference

Appointed by the Council under Clause 30 of the Constitution, the Accreditation Board to assess the suitability of a university degree to be qualified as a town planning degree recognized by the Institute, to make recommendations to the Council to approve or reject an application for accreditation as a town planning degree recognized by the Institute, and to make recommendations to the Council to cancel any accreditation previously given.

學位認證幹事會由理事會根據憲章第 30 條任命，負責評估大學學位是否符合資格，被認可為由本學會認可的城市規劃學位，並向理事會提出建議，以批准或拒絕學位被認證為由本學會認可的城市規劃學位的申請，以及向理事會提出建議取消任何先前授予的認證。

Application procedure: To apply, the applicant must complete an application form (ABF001) to initiate the accreditation process.

Currently recognised degrees:

Local: HKU – MUP (full recognition)
Overseas: Town planning degrees recognised by the professional institutes of RTPI, PIA, CIA, APA, and NZIP (partial recognition)

Degrees currently under accreditation:
HKU – MURP
CUHK – MSSP
