[Result Announcement] Singapore Institute of Planners (SIP) Planning Awards 2025 - Joint Award by SIP & HKIP for Excellence in Planning
Further to the signing of memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the Hong Kong Institute of Planners (HKIP) and the Singapore Institute of Planners (SIP) in 2020, both institutes have been actively exploring various collaboration opportunities to strengthen connections and facilitate exchange of professional knowledge. Building on the success of previous collaboration in 2023, the SIP and the HKIP once again organised the SIP Planning Awards 2025 - “Joint Award by SIP & HKIP for Excellence in Planning” this year to encourage more regional effort to strengthen and transform the planning profession between two cities.
A total of three projects are selected for the Joint Award, including two projects from Hong Kong. The judging panel acknowledges the awarded projects' determination to provide innovative, feasible planning solutions to address the pressing urban issues, including scarce land supply, high density living, ageing population and buildings, as well as climate and environmental changes. These projects would serve as an exemplar for other similar endeavours in both cities, contributing to both the planning profession and the communities.
