Job Description
The Urban Renewal Authority (“URA”) is tasked to undertake urban renewal in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government. The URA adopts a holistic approach to urban renewal with redevelopment and rehabilitation as its core businesses.
Manager, Planning and Design (Ref. JR100090)
Responsibilities:
To handle the maintenance and enhancement of Urban Renewal Information System (URIS), a Geo-Information System-based platform
To lead a GIS sub-team in collaboration with multi-disciplinary professionals to develop application inhouse to facilitate operation
To liaise with internal divisions and government departments for exchange/maintenance of essential spatial/non-spatial data and analysis
To assist in project data preparation, analysis and assessment for the preparation of draft Business Plan, Corporate Plan and various planning studies
To assist in the preparation of various strategic/district studies, planning submissions, monitoring of consultant’s performance, and progress of assigned projects through various stage of planning, acquisition and construction, or planning and implementation
Requirements:
Degree holder in Planning, Geographic Information System, Land Surveying or related disciplines
Recognised planning qualifications, e.g. HKIP, RTPI, CIP, RAIP, RPP or land surveying qualifications, e.g. HKIS, RICS.
Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience
Experience in conducting the System Analysis and Design by using SSADM and AGILE
Familiar with using enterprise GIS software including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Enterprise Server, SuperMap, etc.
Experience in spatial and non-spatial data preparation and management
Knowledge in Python and programming is preferable
Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese
