Assistant Planner and Town Planner positions - Urban Design & Planning Consultants Limited (UDP International)

UDP International is currently looking for Assistant Planner(s) and Town Planner(s). Qualified candidates, who meet the following requirements, are encouraged to apply for the following position(s).

Qualifications and requirements are listed below:

 

Technical Qualifications: Assistant Planner

  • Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from a reputed university is required (minimum)

  • Minimum 3 years of town planning experience

  • Urban design or Architecture experience is a plus

  • Familiar with the statutory planning process in Hong Kong

  • HKIP student membership is a plus

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (minimum), good in photoshop and illustrator

  • Good design and graphic skills (i.e. AutoCAD, SketchUp etc.) is a plus

  • Ability to carry out independent project work, research, data analysis and report writing − Fluent in English, Cantonese (minimum); working knowledge of Mandarin is a plus

  • Self motivated, proactive, outgoing, hardworking with a good work discipline and professional ethics

  • Able to work independently in a professional manner with good organisation and presentation skills

  • Professional coordination, interpersonal and communication skills and a good team player

 

 

Technical Qualifications: Town Planner

  • Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from a reputed university is required (minimum)

  • Up to 3 to 5 years of town planning experience (minimum)

  • Urban design, Landscape and Architecture experience is a plus

  • Well versed with the statutory planning process in Hong Kong

  • HKIP full member qualification is required

  • Other professional qualifications (i.e. HKIUD, RTPI, AICP, HKIA, RIBA, RICS, etc.) is a plus

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (minimum)

  • Good design and graphic skills (i.e. AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) is a plus

  • Ability to undertake projects independently and submit successful proposals, attend meetings, make presentations and liaise with clients directly

  • Ability to lead and manage projects while guiding assistant planners and other staff members in research, data analysis and report writing.

  • Fluent in English, Cantonese (minimum) and Mandarin is a plus

  • Smart, self motivated, proactive, outgoing, hardworking with very good work discipline and

professional ethics

  • Able to work independently in a professional manner with excellent organisation, time management and presentation skills

  • Professional coordination, interpersonal and communication skills and a good team player
