Project Co-ordinator, Planning and Design - Urban Renewal Authority
The Urban Renewal Authority (“URA”) is tasked to undertake, encourage, promote and facilitate urban renewal of Hong Kong in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government. The URA adopts a comprehensive and holistic approach by ways of its two core businesses i.e. redevelopment and rehabilitation, as well as preservation, revitalisation and retrofitting, for creating a sustainable and quality living environment for the people of Hong Kong.
Project Co-ordinator, Planning and Design (Ref. JR100519)
Responsibilities:
To assist in the preparation of planning submissions and presentation materials for internal and external stakeholder meetings regarding assigned projects and activities
To assist in the preparation of Stage I and Stage II Social Impact Assessment reports and development project/scheme proposal for assigned projects
To support in carrying out in-depth planning feasibility studies/ assessments and providing inputs of assigned projects and activities requiring specific planning expertise
To assist in procuring, managing and monitoring consultants engaged in the planning and implementation of assigned projects and activities
To review and provide input in response to public representation received for development scheme
To undertake other ad hoc duties as assigned by supervisors from time to time
Requirements:
Degree holder in Town Planning, Urban Analytics, Urban Studies or other related disciplines
Qualification to apply for student member of a professional institute in planning and design i.e. HKIP, HKIA, HKIUD or equivalent
3 years of relevant work experience
Knowledge of MS Office PowerPoint presentation and other software as essential; basic knowledge in Geographic Information System (GIS) is preferred
Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese, knowledge in Putonghua is an advantage
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with a problem-solving and analytical mindset
