Extension of Memorandum of Understanding between the HKIP and IAP

Extension of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Hong Kong Institute of Planners and Indonesian Association of Urban and Regional Planners

We are pleased to announce that the Hong Kong Institute of Planners (HKIP) and Indonesian Association of Urban and Regional Planners (IAP) have signed an extension to our current Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Over the years, the two institutions have developed a strong and productive partnership, working closely together to foster professional exchange and knowledge sharing. The extension of the MoU marks the continuation of our joint efforts to strengthen professional ties between our organisations and create valuable opportunities for our members to connect, collaborate, and grow. Through this renewed partnership, HKIP and IAP will continue to deepen connections between the planning communities of Hong Kong and Indonesia while exploring new initiatives of shared interest.

Notably, among HKIP’s eleven MoU partners, five are from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region, namely IAP, the Malaysian Institute of Planners (MIP), the Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners (PIEP), the Singapore Institute of Planners (SIP), and the Vietnam Urban Planning and Development Association (VUPDA). This reflects HKIP’s strong regional network and its commitment to fostering professional collaboration and knowledge exchange across Asia and beyond.

We look forward to working with IAP in the years ahead. Stay tuned for more opportunities to engage with our international planning partners.
